can't get fbx animation to play

I’m having trouble with an fbx model that comes with unsplit animations. After I import the model I cannot seem to play the animation called “all” which is supposedly 659 frames. Is there any way to play the animations from the inspector to see if they imported correctly.

Afterwards I make a prefab and add an animator component. I choose the “walk” split I made earlier and play automatically and still no animations play.

How do I see the animations working from the inspector.

I had to set the import settings for the fbx model in unity inspector under rig->Animation type-> to legacy.

I know this is a years late, but make sure your model is in Pose Position and not Rest Position when you export to fxb.
