Can't open a Project (or create a new one) without Unity being frozen

Hi,

I’m having real problems just trying to load a project with Unity. It’s just frozen and the scene windows are mostly Turquoise when I load it. I’ve tried versions 2019.3 and 2019.4 (all LTS versions) and tried 2020.1 out of desperation.

Here’s a video I quickly filmed showing the nonsense I’m dealing with. I spent 7 hrs yesterday just trying to open a project or start a brand new empty 3d project…

My computer specs are shown at the start of the video.

There’s no way I can use Unity if this is how it performs and I have invested in quite a bit from the asset store so it will be a shame if I have to jump ship to UE but I have to be able to at least be able to create a new project.

Can someone from Unity please respond?
