Hello, I am just starting with Unity. I attempted to open the online scripting reference guide from within the Unity browser using the ? button in the upper right corner of a component. Windows popped up a default program list and, without realizing that I shouldn’t, I chose Google Chrome. Now I can’t open any of the help options because they all try to open in Chrome. Can anybody tell me how to change the default browser that Unity chooses? I haven’t been able to figure it out.
Is it just in Unity, or do all HTML files / links open in Chrome? Also, I’m confused… Do you not actually have Chrome installed? Why would it not open?
In any case, this sounds more like a setting in Windows or Internet Explorer, since the OS is the one deciding how to handle the links, not Unity.
I have Chrome installed, that’s how I was able to select it as the opening program. I believe the problem has something to do with Chrome no longer supporting the NPAPI protocol. I checked in Windows to change the default program but I don’t know what Unity is doing to open browsers so I don’t know how to change the default.
