Can't uninstall Unity via Control Panel (not listed)

Hi there,

I installed Unity and for testing reasons, I need to uninstall it regularly. Before yesterday, I could always do that by opening the control panel and using the uninstall program function. Today, the program is not in the list, so I can’t uninstall it.

I’m kind of sure that it’s still installed because I can still launch games developed with Unity without installing anything.

(I’ve got the feeling that it’s gonna be something stupid I didn’t think of but I’ve spent too much time looking for what it could be…). Any idea ?

You don’t need Unity installed to run games developed with Unity - they’re compiled to standalone executables, or to packages that are executed in the webplayer. So that doesn’t prove that it’s installed.

The default installation directory is c:\Program Files (x86)\Unity, and the main executable is called Unity.exe. If neither of those exist on your computer, it’s probably safe to say it’s not installed.
