Car pulls to a side on acceleration and deceleration? Please help....

While Accelerating forward the car seems to pull to the left and while Accelerating Backwards (Reversing) the car seems to pull to the right. I have done every thing I an think of, I’ve perfectly lined up the wheels and more…

Also the car seems to lean to a side and nearly tip over while turning at high speeds. What causes this? I have tried lowering the center of gravity and it isn’t working

If you have come across a way to fix this problem please tell me, cuz I’m out of ideas.

If you need more information just ask me for it.

I seem to recall having a similiar issue when i was playing with my car project. For me the problem turned out to be that, after touching the steering at all, the steerAngle of the wheels never really reset to 0.0. Instead it was stopping at a value like 0.001789 etc, which was just enough to cause a slight turn angle while driving . I fixed mine by forcing it to Zero.

Anyways , maybe something to check , might not be anything like yer issue though. If you can , get the values printing out and make sure that when yer driving straight , there is no in fact no extra steerAngle being factored in.

Tanks willc but we have already considerd it and as you said we also forced the angle to 0 and it worked for a while. this issue is relatively new and we dont know where it came from. I think it has something to do with torque or something…

thanks

Also check to make sure the center of mass of the car is at the car model origin. That was the problem for me when I ran into it.

I had this problem really bad with a project, but only with RWD.
