After working on Carbon Combat for a little under 4 months, I am proud to present the first public demo available as a standalone and on Kongregate! This is my first game in Unity3d so it’s been quite a long journey from barely knowing how to sculpt a terrain to this
Description
Carbon Combat is an intense multiplayer 3d game set in the future. Players wage battles against each other in flying cars equipped with high-powered lasers and explosive rockets. A wide variety of battlefields and easy to learn controls make the gameplay both fun and intuitive. Play against your friends, blow up your enemies, and steal flags all in Carbon Combat!
Controls
WASD or Arrow Keys to drive
Hold Spacebar to fly/hover
Shift to scope - double tap shift to lock scope mode
(1) for rockets (2) for lasers

Nice game, I like the effect how the car change into hover mode.
Oh yeah. I remember playing an early version of this.
Updates!
• Enemy location badges (shows where the enemy is with an arrow - hides if enemy is cloaked)
• Better FPS perspective view - gun no longer blocks the entire screen
• In-game controls window (for people who don’t want to read the instructions below the game :P)
• Fixed gun toggling animation
I posted Carbon Combat to about four major game hub sites. With any luck, the influx of new players will help entice players on Kongregate to come and play longer
Thanks, any suggestions on what to improve?
Update
Fixed enemy badges (were not working properly) as well as team badges. Gun syncing also touched up.
News: Well, Carbon Combat made it to #10 for the Unity contest and then quickly got pushed down due to the lack of players today. Not a good start for this week D:
pretty cool… reminds me of vigilante 8
only u can fly
Thanks
Just finished updating it before the deadline - lots of bug fixes and new features requested by players.
Update: Mac Dashboard widget as well as a separate webplayer (with fullscreen control + f and registration enabled) now available!

Nice game !
Some feedback:
- The messaging system hides 1/3 of the screen. It would be nice to tweak its transparency (make it more transparent) and allow it to be hidden. This is especially true for the browser version, where the screen estate is limited.
- A help screen re-explaining the controls in game and a tutorial would help. Nice idea to post video in the forums.
@Ippokratis - Thanks for the feedback! You can minimize the entire left side GUI by clicking on the “x” button (in the chat window title). Should I have a “details” button for the control window - where it explains the game in depth a bit more, or would an in-game tutorial be better suited?
I think that using conventions player knows is a good practice.
It is great that you already have this functionality, perhaps it would help to publicize it more obviously. Eg “Press x to minimize this window” in the message screen. Another idea : key h for help, plus a message that says “Press h for help”, followed by a help screen showing the controls. It will be usefull 1-2 times for a player until he catches up with controls but those 1-2 times might judge if he will keep playing the game.
I did some research on why my game does not have success. A big factor is that I have not polished the first 3 minutes. Try to invest in the first 3 minutes of gaming experience. They count a lot. Instant gratification in the beggining followed by gradually raising the difficulty also helps. Maybe the first drones should be more “stupid” in solo mode.

is very interesting, if you cut the moral stuff and keep the addiction techniques.
