Hello!
I would like to share one small project I’m working on a memory card matching game. I implemented several distinguishing features:
Power-ups and Power-Downs - they mix up the rules and shake the game
Variations on the rules (different numbers of identical cards) - configurable!
Online cross-platform multiplayer (up to 4 players)
Sophisticated AI players with configurable difficulty (so you play against an actual opponent even when playing single-player)
(hopefully) attractive visuals with four different themes (Tropical, Fantasy, Sci-fi, Simple) - includes card sets, music, sounds and environment (which is interactive)
Gameplay (how do different gamemodes play? What about power-ups and power-downs?)
AI behavior - is its difficulty fitting (try different settings)? Does it behave naturally?
Visuals - does the game look good and attractive to the eye? Is it too distracting (the sci-fi theme is a bit faster in that regard as it goes with music and theme)
Of course if you have something else to add, I don’t mind! Thanks for your time :3
Did nobody try it? I hope people don’t dismiss it as “another card matching game”, which is what I’m trying to break.
Anyway, I added webplayer to make it easier to try out (themes aren’t supported yet in the webplayer though, only the default one is in).
@GeneBox: That’s weird, it works fine for me (Chrome/Firefox/Internet explorer with Windows 8.1). Do you have the latest Unity Webplayer? Does it crash immediately without even loading the menu?
Good for you. Keeps crashing here, tried loading up some other projects - works just fine, seems to be a problem with this particular one. Will try it on my Windows machine when I’m home one more time.
