Hi all, we’re indie game developers, Frozen Lizard Studio~ We just launch our first game called Poco Poco Cheerocco which is a casual multi-player, if you like League of Legend, Hon or Dota but these games are too complex for u. This game is definitely for u! Feel free to check out the game and let us know if you have any comments or feedback.
Here is the some beginner guide/Tutorial for player.
Game Objectives
Collect as many orb packs as possible on the map.
Steal the orbs from your opponents by attacking them with your elemental weapons.
Try to push your opponents to fall off from cliff or drop into river in order to get more orbs from them.
Change the selected element to the correct one that can counter your opponent’s attacking element so that you will lose lesser orbs when you are being hit by your opponent.
The first player who gets 200 orbs wins the game.
Use the correct element that counters your opponent’s element to attack in order to hit them for more orbs.
Tutorial
Counter your opponent’s element
In order to gain more orbs from your opponent, you have to know which element your opponent is currently selecting and you should use the element that can counter his element. There is an element marker above every character in the game that indicates which element they are selecting. Every time you change from one element to another element, your element marker will be changed as well. The element marker can tell others what is your weakness.
The element rule is as below:
o Water element wins Fire element
o Wood element wins Water element
o Fire element wins Wood element
If your element marker is Wood and you get burnt by the ring of fire, you will lose more orbs. If your element marker is Water, the ring of fire only causes you to lose lesser orbs. So, if you want to steal more orbs from your opponent, you should choose the element that can win your opponent’s element marker to attack him. When your opponent attacks you, you should quickly change the element that can win his attacking element before getting hit by his attack in order to protect yourself to lose lesser orbs if you do not have chance to avoid his attack.
Side effect of the elemental weapons
Each elemental weapon has the different side effect that will be added to the targets you attack. The duration of the side effect for each element can be increased by upgrading the corresponding element.
o Fire
For each target that gets burnt by the ring of fire, its control input will be reversed for a short duration. When the player points it to move towards a direction, it will move towards the reverse direction. So the player has to control it in the reverse way.
o Water
For each target that gets splashed and hit by the water splashing, its movement speed will be slowed down for a short duration.
o Wood
For each target that gets knocked by the wood shield, it will not be able to move for a short duration but it still can attack during the moment.
Please give us some comments so that we know where to improve our game, this is our very first game and most of us not really from game development background ( I’m work as Java developer for 2 year, but I love to develop game so much, i actually quit my day job for it ), so your comments will be very helpful for us.
The graphics and overlall look of the game are very nice. The controls take a bit of getting used to, but it’s pretty hard to do much when there isn’t anyone else playing!
Looks interesting, i’ll have to give it a try when more people are on it
I really enjoyed the game. Smooth performance on my laptop. I think the game will really come to life with AI which has already been mentioned of course. The only issue I had was one of personal preference. I would rather have used the QWE keys for the element selection and the ASD Keys for the upgrade so my fingers can easily reach “shift” and other keys around. Like I said it’s personal, I don’t know if others relate to that.
The visual style is very appealing too. And the game seems to stand out on its own with being easily compared to anything else in my opinion. Best of luck with the game!
Thanks for the compliment. Our artist ( which is the only one ) is working so hard to come out such visual style, he will be glad if he heard this. Well ya, AI for the game is currently our highest priority. Maybe we should implement customization control as well to suit different player preference. Best luck with your game as well =)
