I don’t know if you folks know about this one, but it’s a pretty cool organic 3D modeling and painting app. The UI is a bit unorthodox, but it has some pretty cool features. Imagine a watered down Z-Brush, except this one is free. Available for Windoze and Mac:
Very cool. It looks like it cant import, but hey its free!
Check it out y’all.

I think it can, although I haven’t really played with it yet. If you put a .OBJ file in your /Documents/CB Model Pro/Models folder, it will appear in your objects browser.
It also does some sort of automatic UV mapping, something else I’m just starting to explore. It’s a pretty cool little application, although I still haven’t figured out just exactly what I might use it for! ![]()
Yeah you’re right. I got the skull from my avatar into it but I had to get it under 100kb in size and under 1000 triangles, and no vertex sharing more than 10 edges, and there was something else I had to do before I could import it.

I think the idea is to use the imported mesh as a “control grid / lattice”, but don’t quote me on that.
Since it has 3 mesh resolution settings, I wonder if it could be used to create detail models for normal map creation?
