Censorship? Unity this is how you want to deal with customer feedback?

Relates to this thread: Unity production versions quality - total mess! I demand refund!

Mod was “saving company image” by locking thread down, when people start reporting random crashes of the “production grade” software.

Well, really?? Is this how you want to solve this now?

I opened that thread, because there’s a serious issue with my copy of Unity. This problem is still there, unresolved, no information or support provided so far (well, apart advice to delete some folder in project - because this is how we solve problems in Unity: locking down threads and advising customers to delete folders in their projects)

I demand this thread to be opened immediately and left alone until I decide that issue is solved and information is made public for people to know, how to deal with it in the future.

I know, receiving a negative feedback is not a pleasant thing, but SERIOSLY? Locking down discussion because you don’t like it, and you have mod rights?..

  • You were politely listened to, helped and asked to provide a bug report even though you were ranting and behaving in an angry manner.
  • It’s against the rules to open a thread about a locked thread. All moderation is viewable by all Unity staff and other mods, so you can’t play with our rules here.
  • It’s against the rules to question a moderator’s decision. You already reported me for this, for no reason at all.

Finally, as you are choosing to ignore the rules, I have no option but to lock this thread and give you a formal warning. I did all I could to be polite and serve your best interests but you mistakenly think it’s saving company image and other unfounded theories.

You may not open another thread about this, but you can report my post again if you want. Unity staff and moderators see all moderator actions so nothing is hidden.

In addition future actions for your situation will be handled by other mods and not me. You will find however, they will be less forgiving than I.

@zombiegorilla @Eric5h5 will be happy to help but I strongly suggest you focus on developing your game and helping people find the root cause of your bugs, not anger and accusations.
