Champion of Castletown

This is a project i’ve been working on for a few months, its a sidescroller that will eventually implement some rpg and metroidvania aspects. its still really early in development, but i’m ready to start sharing my progress to see what everyone thinks.
I will be posting a demo very soon.

I’m so confused! Like the art is so weird :smile:. But then, it looks pretty funny… I can’t decide if I like it or not :smile:.
Anyhow, I wish you good luck on the progress!

If this game is not meant to be serious, well done; the art is so hilariously mismatched, just seeing a screenshot has me giggling.

However, if you were aiming for something more impressive, consider making your art style consistent.

thanks guys, it is supposed to be funny, the whole thing is comical. the stroyline is a cliche mashup of castlevania and ghosts n goblins with lots of references along the way, and the whole game is ultra-violent. the sprites are supposed to look like paper cutouts and i wanted the background to be really pretty. hopefully that clears up some confusion.

The only thing i can say when i saw the screenshots is WTF xD, but hey i like it ^^
