Dropping NPAPI is a good idea. Despite the trouble it will cause our company, I agree with Google.
It’s time to move on to WebGL.
Fortunately our clients mostly use IE (never thought I’d be caught saying those words together…), so we have some time to make the transition. At least a temporary solution for Chrome builds is to use NaCL, though I doubt we ourselves will need it.
Pretty sure there is already a thread about this. Also I’m pretty sure there is no way Google is going to change a decision (which I believe was made for security reasons), just because a limited percentage of users of a single plugin don’t like it. It will be an inconvenience for a while but that is how we move towards better solutions.
