Change texture of ground where character steps

Hey guys- I have a character who is made of fire and I’d like the grass/ground to burn wherever he walks. Does anyone know of any tutorials that cover this sort of thing? Might also be similar to how they make the ground look wet around a character after they get out of water

You can create a “Render Texture” asset (RT) and a special camera with “Target Texture” set to (RT). Then use (RT) as a texture for ground. At the same time render burns/water into (RT).

Also try the approach to instantiate special GameObjects with “burned grass patches” following the way your character walks.
