I upgraded my hard drive to a SSD, a pain in the butt itself but I wanted to speed boost it would offer for working on my projects. Now when I try to run Unity Editor with my Pro license I get “Machine identification is invalid for current license” When I try and re-activate it I get “Serial has reached the maximum number of activations. Disable existing activations to reuse this serial key. Please contact support@unity3d.com”
I am using this license on 2 computers as is allowed, at home and work. I removed the seat and then readded it, got the license key in the email but get the above error each time I try and use it. I already sent an email to support asking for them to reset the account yesterday but have had no response so am making this post to try and get some help.
Also, is there really a need to check all hardware such as HDD serials for this? Does this not cause more headache then what it is worth? Can you not just check the OS key?
