character animation skin weights problem

I have this character animation imported to Unity and the weight paint seems to look very different in Unity than in Maya (3D software). When I import the character animation into Unreal Engine, it works fine.

What happens when you increase the Max bones/vertex in the Rig tab?

Oh thank you, it worked! :smile:
But I couldn’t do it directly in the rig tab, so I went under > Edit > Project Settings > Quality. Then I scrolled to the bottom under Meshes - Skin Weights and changed it from (1 bone) to (4 bones). Then it worked fine
