character bones

hi i am trying to set up my own ragdoll script, but am stuck at the first part. All I want to do is find out the bounds of the limbs attached to the character, but i can’t think of the maths to do it. please help

i am using bounds.encapsulate to work ouk out bounds but that doe snot add up i have tried using parent - child relatioships. i ahve reached a dead end if anyone can giev me som ehelp it will much appreciated
