Character controller error

The line is: if (rigidbody)
rigidbody.freezeRotation = true;
the second line is the one that has the error

is the freezeRotation variable on the rigidbody’s script public? otherwise it will not be able to find a variable with the name, or “contain a definition” for it. Also you could have spelled “freezeRotation” wrong maybe?
