Character for Unity3d

firstly hello to everyone.
I tried daz studio , but I can not make my own style
How do I make eye,hair
Have a nice character program for Unity3D

Well, Blender3D is what I use for all my models; it’s free, open-source, and jam packed with nice little features. Try it for yourself :slight_smile:

Basically creating such characters consists of at least two to three major steps:

1.) Modelling
This can be done in Blender as already said. I myself prefer 3ds Max over Blender, and apart from that there are also Maya or Softimage. All except for Blender are paid tools though.

2.) Texturing
You will of course need to “paint” the character to give it the look it should have. After unwrapping the UVs (which is part of the modelling process) you can paint the textures in several ways. The most commonly used one certainly is to use a software like Gimp (free) or Photoshop. Paint.NET is a very nice (free) option as well. You can also paint directly on the model with tools like Sculptris (free but very limited version of paid ZBrush, the bigger brother of it) or Mudbox (paid).

3.) In case you don’t want still images you will need animations. This is again done in a modelling package like mentioned in 1.), additionally there are great tools like Motionbuilder (paid).

Describing all the steps is a bit too long here, you can certainly find information on that on Google.

Most importantly: Set your expectations right! There is absolutely no way to create a new character with textures and animations from scratch to finished in minutes. You will certainly spend several hours, more likely days on such models. Not counting in the time needed to get into the software mentioned.
