character scrambled face.. :(

mmm… first im noob here, and i need an advice from everyone here about my scrambled character…

im exporting this fbx from 3dsmax 2011… then im stuck with this… please anyone help me with this… :slight_smile:

these look like flipped normals. there are a number of ways to deal with this:

  • in max right click, properties, check backface culling. this will allow you to see what is happening.
  • if they are flipped: in max go to editable poly/mesh level, select all polygons, flip.

if they aren’t flipped in max you have to look at your fbx options and mesh import options in unity.

ok, i’ve tried that and it works… thank you so much…
but i got another problem when i export my max to fbx, in the end i got some warning notification (not error) about the edge or something like that, is that okay so i can ignore it or is that something wrong with my max or fbx?
