Character shadow

Hi,

We want a really cheap way to add a shadow below our character that is always cast from straight above (not from our sun angle, more like an ambient occlusion shadow). What would be a good approach for this? Is it possible to add a directional light that only affect the player character? Maybe a cookie for a directional light that follows the character? Would that be expensive?

Sounds like you want Blob shadows. They’re explained early on in this tutorial
