Character spacing different in Unity/TMP component vs. Original .TTF file

Hi everyone, I am using trying to use a font (fonts. google. com/specimen/Urbanist). However, the character spacing is different in Unity/TMP component vs. in the original .TTF file.

For example, there seems to be more spacing after chars ‘T’ and ‘W’ in Unity vs. in Figma using the same font style, “Urbanist, ExtraBold” — I’ve attached a screenshot of the Font Inspector/Glyphs table on char ‘T’ for example, if it helps:

Where can I find the settings to fix this? I tried googling the issue & looking at posts. Only information I could find was from the following posts (linked below), but I still had questions after reading:

  • The OP seems to have fixed by “manually changing the glyph parameters” — but, which parameters do I need to change? How or where can I find & change the glyph parameters?

  • A replier was suggesting to “change the character horizontal spacing” after importing — how or where can I find the “character horizontal spacing” property?

Could anyone point me in the right direction? New to Unity so having trouble understanding where exactly I can find & change these settings.

Here is how the original .TTF file appears in Figma vs. Unity.
