Character stays still with no physics

I imported a character and added the rigid body with kinetic and a character controller though not using that still, the problem is that when hitting play the character is completely still and doesnt show any physics, if i put it in the air it will move a bit on the y axis staying completly still and not falling, if i put it on top o a plane/cube/platform, it will still move the same amount in the y axis and even go through tthe plane/cube/platform staying still, i just want it to fall to the nearest solid surface and stay rigid on top but it just stays still and doesnt even fall and it goes thorugh the “solid” objects lol. I also tried adding ragdoll movement but still the character is completely still.

Well I happened to correct the last thing, now mainly the problem is my character is not affected by gravity even if I use rigid body, its stays still in the air instead of falling to the plane ?
