Laughable pricepoint.
The animation and the model are very nice indeed, but I have to agree with Alienchild. $199 is just too high especially considering we are only getting 1 model, even though we get 10 textures, it’s still only 1 model.

Well this is really just my own opinion as an indie developer with a tight budget (as most indie devs are) but for me, $199 is way outside of my budget. Again, this is my own situation, but I wouldn’t expect to pay any more than $80-$100 for one model, even that is already stretching it for me.
But I see your other models are priced at a similar point, and you’re still in business, so I’m probably just really cheap compared to others =P
By the way you have an insane amount of model packages. Please tell me those weren’t all the creation of one person…
Also I’m eyeballing (while drooling) your Fantasy environment kit but it’s outside my budget

I purchased some of 3drt models and they are very good, but they are getting old. I do not understand why the old models do not get cheaper.
So that you sell the old ones to the cheap guys, and they become your customers instead of loosing them.
For example, the Zombie pack, I have it. It is old and very very low poly, even on iPhone it is looking too square, with no normal or bump map, it is just flat boxed characters. Not good enough for what people would expect today. Why is it still at the same price it was 4 years ago when I purchased it?
The same applies to everything. For example would you purchase Fast and furious 1 at the same price as Fast and Furious 5?
Also no bundles. Suggestions: Cartoon pack (models + environment), animal packs etc…

The price is high because the models are not exclusive, in my opinion. Its a stock asset and everyone will now the source of it. Just my 2 cents
Shouldn’t it be the other way around? If something is exclusive then you can only sell it once. If you can only sell it once you set the price high to make your earning.
If you can sell something multiple times then you can set the price lower since you’ll make multiple sales and earn your money that way

I’ve been a long time 3DRT customer, if you sign up for the newsletter 3DRT has some awesome bundles sometimes offering up to 50% off. That’s how I get most of my packs, and have never paid full price. My only complaint (and its minimal) is that his models are always rotated 180 degrees the wrong way. In MAX its a very simple fix, but still rather odd that they are done this way.

Weird I purchased a lot at 3drt and never been in the newsletter, nor had any access to any backend for updates (have to ask when I feel that something has changed in a pack),
I subscribed to the newsletter.
I already have signed up for the newsletter for months and I never received any e-mail or bundel prices !?!

unity3dx, good point about older packs. We revise the prices from time to time, some older characters were lowered down to $39-49 some time ago. We’ll keep adjusting them.
msken this is an issue with older packs, all the new ones come with FBX_unity with proper orientation. We’ve started adding .unitypackage by default as well. We rotate older packs on request pretty fast free of charge.
unity3dx yes we always give nice discounts for new releases to our newsletter subscribers. Same notify about updates for the older packs that are free of charge.
Bulk discounts codes were introduced in the last newsletter.
It won’t hurt to contact me directly and request bulk discount on specific order if people are really interested in getting the art.
