Hello. I am new to Unity. Before I really get into the swing of creating stuff, I want to know; can you create character models in Unity? Or does it require a program like Blender and then importing?
I know you can set up how the characters move. I saw those options on the interface (or whatever you call it).
There are other pieces of software as well that may be easy to use to create characters. You can use Mixamo to create characters (and rig them). There is also some free online software from Autodesk called Pinocchio that you can use to generate character models.
Under the FAQ it says there are no restrictions. Pinocchio is still in early development and is only a demo at the moment, but I’m pretty sure it allows commercial use.
GET BLENDER, use it for about 1-2 years when you finally can become good at it and can model things like buildings, guns, props, charecters, etc
then move to the student version of maya if you want (Im moving to maya soon)
Just because i never saw or heard of professionals using blender and im going to full sail in 2 years so i want to be ahead of everyone and hopefully stand out and get hired (Life long dream)
When I signed up to the site it said something about referring to the general usage agreement (or whatever it was called) and the url provided said evaluation purposes only and that commercial use wasn’t allowed.

In other words Autocrack just want free beta testers the way I read it.
I mean when did Autodesk ever do anything generous?
