Hey guys, I’m starting to sell some cheap textures on Turbosquid. While doing this I’m trying to work on some 3D models. Any feedback or requests would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
My suggestion, don’t sell cheap junk I can find for free on google, or get even better versions for free at cgtextures.com
I always wonder what’s the point about selling cheap things. Or what is even more intriguing to me is why someone would buy it ;). I mean these textures may look nice at the surface but then the question is what shall one do with them?! Just because they are cheap doesn’t mean someone will buy them. Even if they were free I doubt it.
Of course if one utilizes the fancy B2M substance, non-tilable non-normal/bump mapped without specular might actually be worth something but then again the question why buy textures cheap if I have to pay about 100 USD for a substance to make them worthwhile ;)…

I was thinking of making hand painted stylized textures, do you think that would be better?
Normally when you want to use a texture and tile it, for games or CG, close up textures are useless.
If you texture a road, you don’t need 2cm x 2cm piece of asphalt tiled 10000 times. You’ll need big pieces of it, like in any racing game.
