maybe I don’t understand something, but it looks like update from Help\Check for updates doesn’t work?
For example I have Unity 3.5.3f3 and when I check for updates nothing comes up. Now if I go to downloads on Unity website, it shows I can download version 3.5.4.
Shouldn’t check for updates pick up new version?
It should - and usually does. I missed 3.5.4 until today I happened to login to IRC #unity3d and saw the 3.5.4 link at the top.
In the past they’ve said they don’t make the update check “live” for a little while just in case there’s some major problem.

I know this is a old topic. But this happen to me when I had version 5.3.4
I didn’t know there was version 5.3.5 for 3 weeks. That’s a pretty big delay for a buffer so idk lol.
I have the same problem. My unity version is 5.4.2f1. The update screen says it’s the latest version, and the 5.5 version is already available. It is indeed broken for 5.4.2f1.
