Check for Updates isn't checking for updates

When hitting “Help > Check for Updates” it says:

The Unity Editor is up to date. Currently installed version is 3.5.0b6

Now I know that’s not true. We’re already at 3.5.2, but I never got any warning even when force checking like that.

What could be wrong in my machine and is there any way to fix the auto checker?

When we upgraded to 3.5 I somehow installed to a separate directory (potentially user error). I had a /Unity and a /Unity35 folder. You may check to ensure you don’t have two copies installed.

Well, can’t reproduce anymore since Unity 4, so I’m “closing” this.
