Checking Mac Graphics Card Compatibility

I’m looking to use unity to animate some pretty simple things, but I have a mac laptop with an Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB graphics card. I’ll also need to load some character packages in from the assets store to use for the animations.

I’m not familiar with the graphics cards Macs use, but I know it’s not a NVIDIA card so I want to make sure it works. The animations themselves are simple, but I still need to run the editor and I want to make sure that’s okay. I’m not sure if this matters, but I’ll be using a student basic account since I’m a student at university and this is for academic purposes.

I’m not a Mac user, but Unity does work with Intel integrated graphics. Though don’t expect good performance. That’s not a Unity issue, just Intel’s integrated graphics are significantly behind the performance of competing graphics chips in general. It will depend on how demanding your project is as to how well it works for you.
