Cheep Stack -- a mini game inspired by Piyomori

Cheep Stack

GAME LINK

This is my first Unity game. I played the excellent Piyomori and decided to make my own one as practice. My initial motivation is to impress my classmates.

How could I improve it? Or shouldn I move on and stop spending more time on a non-original game? Is it a good idea to submit it to portal site like Kongregate? Any advice is welcome!

Hey mate! It’s really good that you practice with the software, even if you do it by copying an original game. To be honest, as long as practice goes, it just doesn’t matter what you do as long as you improve your coding skills and get knowledge out of it.

About if you should spend or not more time with that, It’s up to you, but remember that if you want any sort of commercial purpose for anything you do, of course, it shouldn’t be copyrighted. As far as I can tell, and this is just my opinion, if I were you I’d keep emulating games that I love to improve my skills, and I’d make sure that I create “finished” prototypes, so I get the feel of a complete job… You’ll have time to worry about copyrights, marketing, and commercial issues in the future if you get yourself a solid coding skill…
