Hi AaronC,

Have you had much interest in the C3D chat? I’m just starting back up again using C3D with Unity.

How do I use the chat page? When I click on Join Chat, nothing seems to happen.

Hi Dave,

Yes its rather odd, it sometimes doesnt work for me too. I have terrible internet at the moment and wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I helped one kid out learning the ropes but its a little like ships passing in the night.

The whole toolbar gets its capability from another site so any glitches are impossible to control. Try the advanced chat button, it seems to be more stable.

Seems to be working today, theres also been some changes at the Wibiya site where all the code is managed.

Any reason not to just setup shop on the Freenode IRC network where the Unity chat already is? If you’re afraid the learning curve for IRC might be too much for some people, there are web frontends that can be setup to just bring people there. I know I already hang out on IRC with quite a number of other people in the Unity channel, I’d be far more likely to see and participate in discussions on C3D if I could put it in my IRC client than if it has to be in a browser tab that I’ll forget about =)
