okay much better frame-rate, Would like to see some sort of scoring mechanism in place and UFO only once avoided my shots,. No indication of UFO been struck like the effects of shimmer in the shields.

Perhaps you could show a key legend, I had to recheck the forum to find the grappling hook.

Oh put the newspaper blowing around on the street back in add old chinese laterns sparingly if using lights or better yet the Glow shader on a mesh

Thinking aloud, You could grab the rope script from the forums or from the asset store, If its there i don’t quite recall it being there. anyway string them around street level with the laterns swinging in the breeze. But that might cause serious stutters.

You have many particle effects for the chimneys, You can do a (Vector3.Distance) or use triggers for much of this stuff .ParticleEmitter-emit ParticleEmitter-enabled

or SetActiveRecursively

Then you can more while using less for the whole level.

For the roofs It look’s like you were using bump mapping or paralax, this is heavy on frame rates, use detail with normal maps instead, or double the detail with the same texture.

Anyway keep me informed of the progress.

Graphics need work, but it was quite fun to play. It didn’t have enough feedback that I was doing damage to the ship. It would have been nice to see it respond and try to attack me, or show visual damage to the ship.
And you should look into rendering the gun on a separate camera layer, because seeing it clip through the walls looked a bit glitchy.
And I’d give it more lighting. It looks like you’ve kept it fairly flat so you can see the light effects from the grapple hook and gun, and the bump mapping effect is overdone.

I definitely love the idea, and I liked seeing the buildings crumble and seeing the ship in flames. Keep at it, because it’s a lot of fun.

@ runner i have a script that effects light, Mesh Render, and Particle Render, went the player is 150 meters from the object it terns them on or off as needed

@ BlobVanDam it is a work in progress. i have it all pland out the stuff you are talking about, i am work on it, and will be in place tomorrow
i will PM you win it is up, and i have some who would like to sell the game for me and give me 50% of it profit but i like to sell it my self. do you think i should sell it my self.

I found this build very confusing; I just suddenly die for no apparent reason a lot. Framerate is better, but again, if you’re aiming for PS3, you’re nowhere near where you’ll need to get yet- optimize your use of particle systems a lot more and you need to bake lighting for everything that doesn’t absolutely require realtime lighting.

there are no lights in on the street the only lights are the gun and ufo.
and look up before you click play.

At the cost of the whole town I saved the town. :wink:

Very fun, keep up the good work! I like the fire and smoke particles on the ufo when it’s shot.

This is really cool. Please make a full game out of it. How on earth did you make those swirling streaks in the projectile? Vectrosity?

the swirling streaks in the projectile is a trail Render and A rotation script
most Script i did my self exsept the render script on the buildings i had Dman do that one and he help me with the ufo script i made it but he fix the bugs.
