Cinema 4D Export - Import to Unity without Root Prefab (name of c4d-file)

Hello at all,

I would like to ask if its possible to import files from cinema 4d without the created root-prefab
(which is always the name of the imported cinema-file).

Because if I want to edit one of the child-prefabs in the Hierarchy, I lose the Prefab-connection and after that, I cant edit the c4d-file without an update of the prefab in the Hierarchy.

The only solution for me at the moment would be save all objects separate, and this is really bad for my big project.

I hope my description was understandable and anybody have an idea whats the best way for me.

no one? :-/

Sorry, no answer to that question. But I´m also very interested in solving this problem. Any help is very welcome

You might find this plug in I have written to be of some use:

It allows you to set up different parts of a Cinema 4D scene to export to different files. (It does other things as well, but I think that this is the function that might come closest to solving the problem you are having.)
