cinema4d .c4d file to unity. Need a conversion tool?

Hello,

I found a .c4d file that I’d like to use in Unity. Now I don’t own cinema4d so it doesn’t import correctly into Unity.
Is there a workaround please?

Sorry - nope. If you don’t have a C4D license you cannot import the file natively into Unity.
Your best option is to download the demo version and export it into an fbx from there.

Unity only does the following when finding a C4D file: Search for Cinema4D and install the plugin if needed. Then it simply exports the file into an fbx internally using Cinema4D and its export settings.
