Circle Collider 2D with is trigger set to true "breaks" Edge Collider 2D


I have a player character with a circle 2d trigger used for activating stuff in the game. All other colliders are working in the game, but the trigger collider is causing the player to ignore, or fall through, edge colliders. Does anyone have any tips?

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. The player game object has the non trigger collider component, and it has a child object that has a trigger collider object. So I’m already doing what you have recommended.
