Classic Particle System, Trail Lifetime broken

Using Unity 2020.3.4f1.

The trail lifetime setting (ratio of trail lifetime to particle lifetime) is constantly breaking. For example, I’ll have a setting of something like “0.1”, which will create a short trail, and behave as expected. But as I adjust other settings in the particle system, it will sudden start behaving as though it’s set to “1” no matter what value I enter. And it wont work properly until I restart Unity.

A few times it has also made the trail randomly appear and disappear, as though the trail lifetime is out of sync with the particle lifetime.

Hm that’s very strange! Are you able to submit a bug report for it?

If you do, reply here with the case number and we’ll take a closer look!

Thanks for the reply, sorry I lost track of this. I just tried to replicate it in a sample scene and I couldn’t. Even though I had the problem repeatedly before. If I ever reproduce it I’ll submit a bug report.
