We hope you enjoy it. Can you spot the retro game influences?
Looks more like cardboard but I like it.
Yeah I thought the same thing. I don’t see any claymation or clay modeling in here at all other than maybe the apple but it seems like a 3D model too perhaps.
What it does look like is someone sketched the pieces of art on construction / colored paper and then cut it all out and pieced it together in-game. It actually looks exactly like this is the case to me. And not a bad thing either. Gives it a different look.
Well I’d change the axing to something like the egging the wolf got. That was creative and the wolf’s reaction unexpected and funny. It will also make the game more suitable for everyone.
Yeah, to me that looks like paper cutout, not claymation, Claymation is more like Primal Rage or the early Mortal Kombat games
The only thing that bothered me about it was a lack of parallax on the foreground elements
Also, the gameplay part of it is totally inspired by Mickey’s Castle of Illusion
Two of the best Claymation games (imo) were originally made in Blitz Basic many years ago then went on to be redone for the Xbox.

Some stunning clay game examples, thanks for taking the time to post them. We love these games and used them as our inspiration. Games like Mario, Aladdin, and Mega Man too!
We had fun creating a paper cut-out/clay style and if interested you can see production photos: http://a4matic.com/rescue-red-animation-bts/
Thanks guys!
Cool! I really like this kind of thing. How did you go about getting them digital? Also is this a animation or an actual game?
Nice website.
Well done animations - nice job.
Very cute game with a lot of personality. I love the tie-in with “Little Red” really gives it that charming touch. Although, when I saw the thread title, I thought you were talking about something more like “The Neverhood” from 1996.
Still, very cool. Keep up the good work!
Yeah the game really does look great. The player character has a lot of personality. I like it. I think your headline talking about Claymation was not the best way to introduce it though because most of us who are familiar with claymation games are coming in expecting something very different.
And that is not really fair for you and your product because although not looking like claymation the art does look very good. The animation is well done. The characters are quite expressive. Great job!
