Closed vs Open list

RED should be OPEN
GREEN should be CLOSED

I had started another list of the why’s to post but i can’t find my emails from 2007 (way to old and been purged over time) so i figured I would just simplify it and post this instead.

Now, Everything that is posted for crashes, ‘should have’ a unity crash bug document attached since when I loaded back into unity, it created the report and I just typed in a description and a comment, as far as why Unity crashes, it is up to the bug report that is generated to point UT in the right direction. All bug reports include the Unity bug report that is generated via Unity when it is loaded after a crash, if this is missing on all of the projects,that is the first place to look.

I am trying to find one from the other email so I can get into that list, unfortunately your system doesn’t allow non-members of the bug system to log in, so I have to track down a bug that gets me into that list.

CASE 30946 no longer exists in the bug system and it was one made on my other email

I’ve seen this before in the past, tickets just up and disappear (even recent ones), I just delete the emails and forget trying to track them. There is no point in it.

If you have questions about prior bugs then why are you posting this stuff here as opposed to contacting someone on our team? I’m not sure what you’re looking for, can you shed some light?

Because apparently when I send you folks direct emails with any attachment, it never gets there. So I am posting it here so there is no question that I have “sent” it per say. Also, when I am submitting bugs through Unity 2.1 or iPHone 1.0.1 if there is an attachment it appears the attachment is not being added to the ticket.

Then we should look into that attachments issue as the forums shouldn’t be a tool for direct communication like this. Can you send me a test message with an attachment? Anything, an image, a zip file, whatever. If we’re having problems then we should fix those on our end and I’ll have our IT guys see if your message hits our servers or not, thanks.

I sent an IM yesterday, I’ll look for a response mid next week since I know you all like your weekends :slight_smile: 2 business days on the IM give or take is cool, heck 5 business days is cool since I know you have the list and this is just to further test your network so no rush at all on my end to test your network :slight_smile:

So that was a very crappy response to tell me that at the bottom of -every- post is your email because apparently you don’t see your own posts or you don’t know what is at the bottom.

Thanks for being very ABRUPT with me and telling me to use something that doesn’t exist because frankly it is NOT where you say it is. I do not SEE it.

You could have simply said use email@thisaddress.com instead of telling me to use something that doesn’t exist. So now I will post the request HERE in the FORUMS, what EMAIL should I use, I won’t bother with PM’s any more since that gets me another round robin response of “go read my response and see my email in my response since it is in all my responses”

this is so not worth a headache right now, I tried to help, asked for an email, got a PITA response which had no substance to it and once again, back to the forums I have to go to try to get an answer that was a simple thing you could have done in the email grumbles something about someone doesn’t know what is in the threads on there own posts

Sure, I should be less abrupt and I’ll work on that. But to be honest you have prompted a lot of my reactions through your own behavior so it’s worth a look in the mirror on your end as well.

You know what Higgy, don’t worry about it, since it was such a PITA to get you to say email * this instead of telling me to rudely go do something that doesn’t exist, I see this is going no where for these problems. Thanks anyway, moving past this, I got code to write.

don’t worry about an email from me, not really worth the troubleshooting problems for your email system, apparently no one else has issues posting to the bug site and no one else has or had issues seeing your email button, and no one has issues sending in direct emails with attachments, since it is just me don’t worry about it

Seon, I post facts, nothing more, nothing less, can call it what you like or what ever, but the truth is, I just point out flat facts. Yes I dealt with some of those issues for 2 years, and I see people still have some of those issues and are posting them in the forums, do you think that after 2 years of having the same types of issues I have they are not going to be angry? Anyway, the point is simple, an internal dev asked me for information I gave it, Higgy pushed and pushed and pushed asking for why’s when he finally asked me to directly email him, I asked a simple question, what was his email, and as you can see from the screen shot, he didn’t give me an address, which then lead into this argument.

Your coming in mid stream with your comment which really doesn’t lead to the entire thread and what lead up to the screen prints or the argument. So you blame me, without reading or knowing all the facts. As I stated, this thread is full of facts, blame me all you want, sure they are all my problem, not seeing his email button, him not giving me an email until we argued about it, etc.

You want it left in IM’s but if it got out of IM and back into the forums it is because IM’s wouldn’t have gotten anywhere -at all- with this. And in the end, the end result is that they can just keep those problems closed and seriously not even worry about it now. All it took was Higgy to simply IM me back with an email address and none of this conversation past that would even exist, blame me if you want, thats ok.
