Wow, that’s really cool!!!
I’m happy to see Unity is growing and getting such a good backing from large companies! Too bad CNN doesn’t understand most people don’t own GTX 475’s or Radeon 59XX series cards. My poor laptop (Intel 945GM) wanted to die rendering those non-optimized oil rig models and oil pipelines! Always remember to create content for your target audience!
amazing!
Congradulations to the Unity team!!
Cheers,
Galen
[edit] ok, and they really could use some optimization support! Dang thing was starting to punsh my Dell M6400! Dreamora, got some spare cycles to bring CNN up to speed?

Wow, that is pretty cool. My old Computer can barely handle it, but this is good news.
Quite a weak example really isn’t it, but great to see major outlets experimenting with this medium.
I need to get a job making stuff like this for CNN. I bet it’d pay well. ![]()
indeed, very cool.
Yeah, I looked at it for one second then closed out because the lag is unbearable. I have played games with better models than that and my computer hasn’t laggged. Although I do use a intel integrated chip.
It was also used live on-air a few times in the big touch wall. John King touched one finger to orbit and two fingers to zoom.
Ran like a freshly paved road on my new 15’’ Core i5 MacBook pro. ;D
And also, yay tons of new Unity Player distributions!
So whos going to offer to do a better 3d sim for Fox and the others.
