Codename planet

Well, while waiting the company to send me back datas from my dead hard disk, I’m prototyping the next project of Nirvana Factory.

Here is the web player: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/858716/CODENAMEPLANET/WebPlayer01/WebPlayer.html

Actually, only a pipeline for the scenery and graphic style is there, the character will be a spaceman in proper space suit (NASA style, but more futuristic).
Controls are almost there, gravity should be even less, jump a bit less powerful, and I don’t like the fact that the character is not physically correct, I need physics to be working properly so that’ll change a lot.
Also, try not to jump all the time: that’ll not be possible in the game, and it ruins the atmosphere

Also, use headphones, there’s some little audio effect.

Critics and compliments are well accepted

Nice look!

the Lens is a bit,…whoa,…though.,.

I love crystals :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you Welby.
Also, this is only a part, there will be parts with more lights, I also hate too dark games

Do you mean that Depth Of Field is disturbing?

crashed my firefox… lol

Sorry I mean Camera Field of View,…makes it fishy eyed and distorted.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Well it’s pretty heavy, there are SSAO, DOF, BLOOM AND FLARES filters, maybe this is the problem.
I’ll release a lighter version on the weekend.

Oh yes, that’s to not make the char go out of screen.
At the moment there’s the usual problem: third person camera orbiting around is often going out of scenario and that’s ugly so I try to keep it nearer as possible.
So the character feet fall out of screen and so I increase the FOV… I really don’t know how to solve something like this… maybe with some camera collision but that will come later.

3D Buzz has a good Unity Third Person Camera tutorial… you may get some ideas etc out of it. It you can deal with all the theory they go through.

Thank you, I’ll check it.

I to a simple script applied to a sphere collider on the camera that will move it nearer to the character when it hits something.
