Coding animated bones

Hi. I ve got a character with armature (I work in blender). It’s animated. When “walk” animation is playing, I can’t rotate head manually through code. Just when animation stops, control goes on and head rotates. I ve read some posts here, and did not get one idea: using non-animated bone. What’s explanation of that? Help.

Yeah while an animation is going on, it will change the current transform/scale/position each frame, so even if you change it in code it will be overwritten. The solution is to put your desired changes in LateUpdate where your changes will affect the current frame, although you’ll need to make your transformations each frame or it will snap back to where it is in the animation.
