greetings unity masters,
what would you advise to use as a ground collider in a 2d platformer game, that has uneven ground, something that cannot be derived simply to primitives.
for now I am importing an fbx file that has the level overlay but I am having immense difficulties zeroing in the proper transform positions since I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make the same base positional orientation in Unity and Maya (where I do the meshes for the mesh collider).
kind regards for any info
I think it will help if you provide a screenshot.
Why do you not import the viable terrain terrain into Maya and then build the Collision mesh for it?
Then you can export both mesh with the same settings and the can be used together in unity perfectly.
hi guys, thank you for such a quick reply. It might be best to make a screenshot yes, Ill do it when I get back home.
what you propose, Malzbier si what I have done. I imported the sprite terrain into Maya, made a mesh collider around it, exported the fbx, but when I import it back to unity mesh collider component, its transform positions are off and the size is off aswell. Its way smaller.
I dont know how to setup maya, so that when I import the fbx back into unity, it will have the correct transform and size info.
hope that makes sense
