Commercial games with Unity

Are there any big developers using Unity 3D in a profitable manner?

I can’t really find any besides the 3
Wolfquest
Big Brainz
Global Conflicts

I have someone here possibly showing interest in Unity… I kinda need to prove to them that Unity isn’t some “toy”

There are a couple of unity games that made it onto Steam.

Guns of Icarus

Max and the Magic Marker

Bob came in Pieces

Does Fusion Fall count?
Not sure how big they are

Off the top of my head: Electronic Arts, Bigpoint (Using it on several titles, including Battle Star Galactica MMO and The Mummy MMO), LEGO, NASA, Cartoon Network, Warner Brothers, Disney, Marvel, etc, etc, etc.

Yes it is not a toy.

Tell your interested party that Unity being used by established and independent developers alike, not only to create great content, but to deploy that content to all of the hotest platforms around including consoles, Wii, IPhone/iPad, Web (including social networks like Myspace and Facebook), and PC download services like Steam and Direct 2 Drive. Android, Native Client, Xbox 360, and PS3 support have also been publicly demonstrated and are coming during the 3.X product lifecycle.

Thanks for the replies, guys.

You know, I took a look at Unity a while back, but if I recall, it cost money even for the non-advanced version, so I kinda got scared away.

It wasn’t a matter of not being able to afford it so much as me getting disaproving looks and being afraid I may regret the purchase.

I looked at it previously too but it was Mac only so that left me out.

Not many companies are using Unity because it’s so young. This is the time to be a trendsetter!

Yes, Unity is still “young”, but when we have EA and other large studios using Unity it should be a much easier sell to the people you’re trying to convince that Unity is ready for prime time

Forgive me if I am wrong but isn’t Tiger Woods Online using Unity? At one point, it doesn’t anymore, it had the Unity splash screen when it was loading. And that’s a very good, polished game.

I still remember how powerful Unity was on his early days. Now Unity is even better, feature-rich and is used by lots of professional studios.
Don’t get fooled by my forum registration date, I’m watching Unity since 2006. ^^

Yes, i think the client side was made 100% with Unity.
