commit a scene using a wizard

How can i trigger a commit command from a scriptable wizard?

I have a settings wizard which stores some user information in a scene file. To automatically save the settings i want to:

  1. save the scene (i know how to do that from script)
  2. commit the scene to the asset server (without the need to open the as-window and commit manually)

This way i want to build a simple user-management for use with the asset server which prevents two users working at one scene at the same time (unresolveable confilct when commiting to the asset server).

Have you looked at the scripting reference for the Asset Database?

Surely you could devise a solution with the functions contained in there (possibly with SaveAssets())?
