Comparing 2d/2d sprite solutions?

So for making 2d game, which has 2d sprite character’s animations,

what is good solution from asset store or worldwide market?

and what are pros/cons of them or comparing of those?

Thanks.

Just 2D Toolkit. It’s too far ahead and well supported. I can’t recommend others because they’re not that far along yet.

1+ For 2dToolkit. Hippo, you were just telling me about that. It looks amazing, I’m planning on purchasing soon. Also more specifically for animations, there is Smooth Moves. I’ve heard good things.

+1

+1 for 2D Toolkit. I use it since a long while for all my games and love it. Great package, more-than-fair price, constantly updated, and fantastic support. Also, comes with an UI System (relatively new and evolving), or can be easily expanded to implement a custom one.

Out of curiosity. Is this http://esotericsoftware.com thing any good?

Seems awesome and I got it during the Kickstarter, but still didn’t get to truly use it. Has good reviews though, and works with 2D Toolkit :stuck_out_tongue:

I would recommend Uni2D, but it’s stuck in its 1.0 version. Though, the devs want to release the 2.0 version this July…
For now I can also recommend 2D Toolkit, it has really great features and has an awesome support. For now, you won’t find any other better solution for Spritemanagement and Spriteanimation. If you want to use 2D Boneanimation you can go with Spine or SmoothMoves!
