being a complete noob to unity, game creation, and scripting, how would I be able to learn to use the interface in unity and learn scripting (javascript)?
Read the docs and do some programming tutorials; language doesn’t matter so much since the same general concepts pretty much apply to all. Just keep in mind that web Javascript isn’t the same at all as “Javascript” (more accurately called Unityscript) in Unity; if you want something syntactically similar you’d be better off with ActionScript 3 tutorials, though of course actual Unityscript tutorials would be best. I’m sure you can find them with a bit of googling.
