Compressed texture Android is used as icon. This might compromise visual quality of the final image

Hey guys

I am getting warning spam when building my game using compressed Android icon textures. It happens every time I built, and it spams the message multiple times - 6 times per build.

Also, will there be a way to turn this warning off? I know the icon is set to compressed, I don’t need to be told every time I build. :frowning:

Instead of a console warning, Unity could show a dialogue box when the user sets the Android/iOS icon to a compressed texture (via the Player Settings panel). Just a suggestion. I like to make sure I squish every error and warning when building my game.

Good suggestion, although instead of a popup dialog I’d show the warning in Inspector near the relevant options. Applies for splash screens, too.

That is an even better suggestion, since the dialogue box could be missed. Either way, would prefer not to have warning spam when building my game for something I did on purpose.
