config an old game with LeapMotion + Oculus

config an old game with LeapMotion + Oculus

hello I have a shooting game,
and I wonder if I can use it with virtual reality.

the games is : the user never moves, the user is in a trench,
(or no move position) and shoot anything that moves in front of it on hills.

my question is:
USING with hands with LEAP MOTION and OCULUS lens the question is:
If it is posible to putting on the game new transparent buttons to move the gun
and add another button to shoot.

Something like ur photo below ?

What I need is, not do the game again,
just add the Leap Motion, the oculus, config… and add the new buttons.

is this possible?

this is the game,
and below is the same picture with text specifications what i need.

this next picture is what i need…
please help
thanks

any help here please ?

is it 3D, meaning do you only use 3D assets for terrain, trees, lm hand and cannon, or do you plan to only use 2D assets? if so, please reconsider because fully 2D games in VR don’t turn out good! they either have to be 2.5D or fully 3D (with the exception of some 2D assets like textures and gui)

all is 3D definitly !!!

thanks…
any help please ?

Alright if you then decide that you want the player to be able to move the camera along with his / her head movements, then it shouldn’t be a problem  or “rotate” the camera along the head movements if you rather want to call it that :stuck_out_tongue: but still it shouldn’t be a problem when you say that the scene(s) are made of 3D asset

I don’t have leap motion, however i know i have seen people develop for the rift along with the leap motion where they managed to succeed in creating 2D buttons that are interactible using the leap motion, but unfortunately i cannot remember if the interaction was based on button press or if it was the leap motion hand that made it press itself by hovering over the button…

anyway it would never hurt to begin developing just with the leap motion, just to find out what you’re capable of with the leap motion! in case you don’t know already  but the rift or similar HMD’s only make the HMD screen view compatible games / software in stereoscopic 3D.

If this is not what you meant to your question regarding the possibilities then please explain further

Good Luck,
Dave.

the buttons will be in 3D too… all the scene

It should still be possible to get it to Work, if you’re new to VR Development however, then it could take a Little while to get it set up properly the way you want it to, but i cannot see any problems when it all is 3D  i do hope this helps a Little on your way to re-publish your game into VR market

Cheers,
Dave
