Configurable joint single direction limit

Hello,

It would be nice to be able to have the linear limit of the configurable joint to be configurable in a chosen direction. Currently the limit works in both directions at the same time on all of the axes but similarly to having a low angular and a high angular limit, it would be nice to have low and high limits on the linear axis as well.

And it would be especially nice if these could be set per axis.

Make the configurable joint more configurable than it is.

Thanks

I was just having this problem, you can get around it by offsetting the connected anchor position. It’s a bit fiddly though, having explicit limits would be much nicer.

Play with “Target Position” variable under Z Drive.

If you want your object to go up from his initial position and not down, make Y variable in Target Position equals to - your Linear Limit. This will offset the origin of your object to the motion limit of the joint, and it will not be able to move in two directions.

How to limit different amount in different axis?
