Confirmation Link is always invalid

I made a personal account using my personal Outlook email, but every time I open the link, it says “This link is not valid anymore” and this occurs in an endless loop. I made this email using my school account in order to test it and ask on the forums. I have already deleted my cookies and etc. multiple times. Could the problem be from Outlook’s safelink protection? I do not want to use this account because this email will be terminated once I graduate.

What happens when you just copy/paste the link instead of clicking it? What happens when you froward the email to another email account which potentially doesn’t mess with embedded links?

I tried both of those and the I got the same result. Thank you for helping, though!

Might have to contact Unity support then, but I’ve heard they are really slow in processing requests over the past couple months :frowning:

Thank you. Luckily, I still have a licence and am still able to do the development I want to do, but I just want my account. Please nobody close this thread.

I had the exact same problem, and after checking all my internet settings, firewall ect., I just created a new account with another email adress. This solved the problem for me. Very inconvenient tho :frowning:

I had the exact same thing but I was able to solve this! The fact that the OP was using Outlook email as well got me thinking… Outlook these days has this “nice” feature to completely butcher urls in emails due to their safe links protection in fight against spam and fishing. If you use a safe links url decoder (I used my first hit in Google: https://www.o365atp.com), you are able to obtain the original Unity confirmation link again and after copy pasting it in the browser, I was able to confirm your email address! Just make sure to take your last confirmation email.

Unity should write out the full link in the confirmation email though, so users are able to copy the actual url if for some reason the clickable link doesn’t work… (some other services already do this…)

jo_on you saved me HOURS of banging my head against the wall! I can’t stress this enough, thank you!

This saved me too, I was so frustrated yesterday and couldn’t find a fix anywhere online till this. I was using outlook with a school email to get the student package.

Does not work for me though I use Gmail so what do I do?!

How to forward the email to another email account

In your email account, open the email and hit the Forward button.

Ok guys I think I found the solution especially for Gmail related accounts. Go to incognito mode and sign in to your Gmail and unity. Then click the link unity sent from the web Gmail version and hopefully you will see results
