Hello there.
So right now I am using Unity 5.6.1f1. As far as I know current version is 2017.1, right? So it’s beta or not? When I try to check for updates in Unity it says 5.6.1f1 is my current version, but when I go to download page it says that current version is 2017.1. Can anyone explain it to me, please?

If a Unity version is a beta you’ll find it under the beta pages - and those aren’t usually so easy to find. Since 2017.1 is the first thing you see on visiting unity3d.com, you can be pretty sure it’s not a beta 
The update check won’t inform you of new Unity versions for the first few weeks after release, giving the great unwashed masses time to discover any bugs internal testing didn’t find. But if you’re not doing anything major, give it a try. You can also install all versions of Unity side by side and switch if one breaks your projects.
